DESSA were engaged by the customer to design a suspended scaffold solution, which allowed the users access to the sides and underside of the bridge to conduct remedial works. To reduce the load bearing locations on the bridge, DESSA devised five scaffold tower arrangements to house Universal Beams. DESSA Asterix HD beams spanned from the Universal Beams to support the suspended scaffold, consisting of three decked platforms. To accelerate the build process, DESSA provided its own aluminium lacing and bracing components for the Asterix HD beams, thereby reducing the erection times significantly.
